The Livingston Police Department has installed a permanent Drug Drop Box in the Livingston Police headquarters lobby.
Residents can safely dispose of unwanted or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications - including pet medications - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The police department worked in conjunction with the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team of Essex County (ADAPT) and the Livingston Municipal Alliance Committee (LMAC) to have the drug drop box placed in the lobby of police headquarters.
The box was designed and painted by students from the Livingston High School National Art Honor Society. Residents may dispose of unwanted or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications, including pet medications.New or used syringes cannot be accepted.
