At the start of the year, while many are getting organized for the months ahead, the Township of Livingston reminds residents to make sure they are receiving critical and useful local information.
From local emergency notifications to news, meetings, and events of interest, the Township provides several ways for residents to get the information they need. Through the Township website, residents can elect to receive alerts by phone/text message and/or email, which makes staying up to date convenient, useful, and timely.
Swift911: Sign Up for Emergency Notifications
With winter weather still a possibility over the next few months, all residents are reminded to register for Livingston’s Swift911 Emergency Notification System through the Township website.
Register here. The registration page is also accessible via the Emergency Notifications icon on the right side of the home page.
Alerts can also include non-weather-related updates, such as street-specific information about emergency road or water main repairs.
Already Registered? Residents who have registered for Swift911 in the past should log in and make sure that their contact information is up to date.

Two Critical Steps
Residents must take these first critical steps to be sure that they will receive important information that could significantly impact them and their families:
1. registering for notifications and
2. downloading the mobile app.
The information residents provide through any of the Township’s systems is used only for the purposes of communicating specific Township-related information. That information will not be sold or provided to any outside entity for any purpose. Residents can rest assured that when they register through the website they will be receiving important Township information, but will not be exposed to outside solicitors.
