Livingston students, parents, teachers, and residents are invited to a talk and book signing by Livingston High School alumnus Darren Prince, now CEO and President of Prince Marketing Group and author of the international bestseller Aiming High: How a Prominent Sports and Celebrity Agent Hit Bottom at the Top

The event on Thursday, April 4, 2019 is co-sponsored by the Livingston Municipal Alliance Committee (LMAC) and Healthy Community Healthy Youth (HCHY) and organized by the Vision 20/20 Committee. It will be held in the Livingston High School auditorium (30 Robert Harp Dr.) from 7:30 pm to 9 pm.

Darren Prince graduated from Livingston High School in 1988 and went on to find success as a sports and celebrity agent and start his own firm. On April 4, he will be speaking about his personal journey through opioid addiction and recovery.

Aiming High will be available for purchase at a special discounted price of $10.00. After the talk, there will be a book signing and opportunity to take photos with Prince.

Prince’s memoir was released on October 2, 2018 and landed on the bestseller lists in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. The book “tells a life-in-the-fast-lane tale about how our outside accomplishments can hide our internal struggles,” according to its website, aiminghighbook.com.

It features a foreword by NBA star Earvin “Magic” Johnson, who was Prince’s first client at Prince Marketing Group. His other clients include Shaquille O’Neal, Larry Bird, Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen, Chevy Chase, Mickey Rourke, Clyde Drexler, Mark Cuban, and many more athletes, musicians, and celebrities.

Prince hopes that his story of recovery will provide inspiration for others. “It’s just the greatest feeling in the world knowing that somebody got touched by something I’ve been through to help them make that change—to take that bottom and make it their beginning,” Prince told TAPintoLivingston in November 2018, when he attended the Livingston High School Class of 1988’s 30-year reunion.

The event will be free to attend and open to the entire Livingston community.
