Members of the public are invited to a public information session regarding the installation of a roundabout at Walnut Street and West Hobart Gap Road in Livingston:

The meeting will be held at Livingston United Methodist Church, 290 West Hobart Gap Road, Livingston, NJ 07039.
The presentation is hosted by Essex County, in cooperation with Livingston Township, the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, the New Jersey Department of Transportation, and the Federal Highway Administration. There will be information available relating to the project’s progress and the purpose and need for the roundabout.
All are invited to stop by between 6 pm and 8 pm to find out more about the joint project to increase safety by constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Walnut Street and West Hobart Gap Road. There will be an official presentation at 6:30 pm.
Design features of the roundabout include:
- Counter-clockwise Flow: Traffic will travel counter-clockwise around a center island.
- Entry Yield Control: Vehicles entering the roundabout must yield to traffic already circulating.
- Low Speed: Curvature produces lower vehicle speeds, generally 15-25 mph, throughout the roundabout.
