Livingston,
New Jersey among“best
affordable suburbs”
Business Week Online recently named Livingston as one
of the nation’s
25 “best affordable suburbs.”
The magazine picked suburbs that boasted low
crime rates, above-average schools and a reasonable commute to
a major city.
Livingston's violent crime rate is 38 on a
scale where the U.S. average crime rate is 100. It ranks above
average for school test scores, and its median housing price
was identified as $514,400.
