FREE COMPOSTING WORKSHOP! FLYER Livingston Living Green will present Home Composting Basics on Sunday, November 1, 2009 from 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM at the Livingston Public Library. Composting bins and tools will be available for purchase at a reduced price. Tricia Idrobo, a member of the Livingston Composting Promotion Team, will lead the workshop, covering how to start and maintain a composting system, different forms of composting and how to utilize finished compost. The Living Green Committee wants to help Livingston residents get started in composting, which reduces municipal waste and produces a rich soil amendment for gardens and lawns. “The fall is a great time to start composting because you have plenty of leaves and grass,” says Idrobo. “It’s easy, fun, and good for the environment.” The committee is now taking pre-orders of Earth Machine home composting bins, which will be distributed at the end of the workshop.
