Employment Application
**The
Township offices have temporarily moved to 204 Hillside Avenue during
the construction of the new Municipal Complex. During this time our
mailing address will not change. Please continue to mail applications
and resumes to “HR Manager” at 357 South Livingston Avenue,
Livingston, NJ 07039. Our phone numbers will also remain the same
during the construction project.**
At
one time Human Resources was known as “Personnel” but
today, in an effort to recognize that our employees are our greatest
asset, it has become known as “Human Resources.”
This
department is not only responsible for staffing and employment activities
but also for many other functions including personnel policies and
procedures, benefits programs, compliance issues, compensation research,
training and development and performance management.
MISSION
STATEMENT
The mission of the Human Resource Department is to support the goals
and challenges of the Township of Livingston by providing services
that promote a work environment characterized by fair treatment of
staff, open communications, personal accountability, trust and mutual
respect. We will seek and provide solutions to workplace issues
that support and optimize the operating principles of the Township.

Where can I find out about open positions in the Township?
All open positions are posted on the township’s website under
“Employment Opportunities.” We also post openings
on Township bulletin boards throughout the various township buildings.
When advertising, we utilize local newspapers and/or specific professional
or trade publications that would be applicable to the open position.
We also may post open positions at local colleges or on various websites.

Where can I get an application form?
Application forms are available in Town Hall, 357 South Livingston
Avenue, from the Manager’s Office, Clerk’s Office or Human
Resources Office. You may also print a copy by clicking here.

How do I apply for a job?
You may submit an application and resume by dropping it off in the
Manager’s office or Human Resources Office at Town Hall, or
you may email or fax your information to the contact information noted
above.
