LSO percussionist Michael Moore displays a set of Zildjian cymbals that were recently given to the orchestra. The Zildjian Company, producers of cymbals since the 17th century, made the donation at the request of Moore and his wife, BJ.

Jaray-Bowers
Thomas Bowers, a resident of Livingston and longtime LSO concert-goer, presents music director Istvan Jaray with a bronze statuette of a conductor. "Maestro Jaray has given us so much pleasure over the years," Bowers said, I wanted him to have something more than applause."

The April 2 event, "Slavic Fireworks," included works by Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Smetana and Liadow. Featured soloist was Deborah Pae, winner of the 2004-2005 LSO Young Artists Concerto Competition, a resident of Livingston and a junior at Livingston High School.
