Alarm Information

Alarm System Registration Form

Ordinance No. 3-1980: Police Emergency Alarm System and Standards, Fee Procedures, Licenses, Permits and Penalties

 

Blue Star

This is an assistance program for a senior citizen or handicapped person living alone to register this information with the police department. In addition, a house key can be kept at headquarters or with a neighbor so that access can be gained to the individual’s residence, if needed.

Click here for the two Blue Star forms that must be completed. The forms and a house key (if desired) can be dropped off at headquarters 24 hours a day.

 

Firearms

In order to obtain a firearm, you must meet eligibility requirements and comply with the statutes which govern firearms purchases in the State of New Jersey. All firearms applications for residents of Livingston are handled through the police department’s Records Bureau.

Reverse 9-1-1

This is for Livingston residences and businesses that do not utilize Verizon as their regular phone service provider. If you use any other phone company or Voice over IP (VOIP) phone company, please complete and submit a form to be part of the Reverse 911 Notification System. 

This can be done 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

 

Vacant House Information

Livingston residents may submit a "vacant house form" when their home will be vacant for an extended period of time, such as during vacations. The vacant house program enables a police officer, during his or her normal patrol and when time permits, to check vacant houses.
