Retaining Walls
The Division of Engineering provides review services for the Building
Department in connection with permits for retaining walls. Requirements
for the design of retaining walls are as follows:
Road Opening Permits
Before opening any municipal street or right of way, it is necessary
to obtain a road opening permit from the Division of Engineering. There
is no fee for the permit, but the applicant is required to post a bond
prior to obtaining the permit. Permits can be obtained at the Division
of Engineering.
Soil Removal Ordinance
If you are contemplating removing or moving earth or soil within the
Township of Livingston, a soil removal permit might be required.
Stormwater Management
Most construction and development activities in Livingston are subject
to the provisions of various State and local stormwater management rules
