What is Swift 911?
Swift 911 is a computerized telephone calling system that can be used to notify you of an emergency situation such as a severe storm evacuation or a dangerous situation, or roadway construction in your area or water problems.
How does Swift 911 work?
Each resident and business within the Township of Livingston (or a targeted area) will receive a telephone message with the emergency alert.
Who activates the system?
Only the Township of Livingston Departments such as: Police Department for emergencies -- Water Department for service and repair issues --and the Engineering Department and Tax Department for their Tax Bill Notification Program.
I have an unlisted phone number. Will I be listed in the data base?
To be sure you are listed, sign up for Swift 911 alerts by providing your information by mail or by logging onto www.livingstonnj.org and clicking the Swift 911 link at the top right.
If I do not have Internet access, how can I sign up?
You can fill out the form and mail it to the the Township.
How can I get a text message?
Simply provide your information by logging onto www.livingstonnj.org and click on the Swift 911 link at the top right. Or you may fill out the form below and mail it to us.
I’d rather not be listed - how can I take my name off of the system?
Simply provide your information by logging onto www.livingstonnj.org. Click on the Swift 911 link at the top right and select the "Remove" button. You may also put your request in writing to the Township.
