RECYCLING CHRISTMAS TREES From January 1 - 31, Christmas trees will be collected, Monday - Friday, from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Trees may be left at the curb for pick-up. By recycling Christmas trees the Township is saving on the cost of garbage disposal as the municipality is charged by weight to remove bulk items.  Additionally, through this program, the Township is adding another environmentally friendly initiative. The DPW will chip the trees into mulch and make it available to residents for pick-up, at no cost, while supplies last.  The mulch created from the trees can be used in flower beds and garden borders. Call the DPW at 973-535-7931 to schedule a pick-up of mulch.  Any extra mulch will be used around various township gardens. Public Works superintendent Michael Anello announced, “The Township is very pleased to offer this service to residents as an enhancement to our current recycling programs."
