Raffle or Bingo Licenses

Any nonprofit organization may apply for a raffle or bingo license for any event that is being held in the Township of Livingston. The applicant must have a current bi-annual registration ID from the State in order to apply for a license. Access the Raffle Application Packet or the Bingo Application Packet.

A Background/License Record Check Form must be completed by the applicant’s local (hometown) police department.

Liquor Licenses

All liquor licenses are currently accounted for. Licenses must be renewed yearly by the license holder. The term is from July 1 to June 30. The State also offers other types of liquor licenses to qualified non-profit organizations. For information about liquor licenses, please click here.

Door-to-Door Solicitation Licenses

Door-to-door solicitors/peddlers in Livingston Township must obtain a license. Please bring the completed Solicitation Permit Application to the Clerk’s Office. Licenses are annual and expire December 31st each year.

Once the license is issued by the Township, the second page of the license will be required for you to maintain in your possession while going door to door and should be available upon request by a resident.  There is a strict "Do Not Knock" Policy that must be adhered to or fines and/or suspension of the license may result.

Door-to-Door Solicitation Hours:

Commercial solicitors/peddlers may only visit homes beginning at 10 am and ending one hour after sunset from October 1 through March 31 and at sunset throughout the rest of the year.

Non-commercial, religious and or political canvassers and solicitors protected by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution shall be permitted to perform those activities without a license, 9 am to 9 pm seven days a week.

Taxi/Limousine Service

All drivers need to submit a Limousine/Taxi Driver Application with completed background check from Livingston Police Dept. and include a $5 fee to the Clerk’s Office.  Applicants must also file their Certificate of Liability Insurance with the Clerk’s Office. View the Taxi and Limousine Code.
