Paper & Commingled Recycling
Livingston’s recycling collector is Waste Industries, LLC.
- Waste Industries picks up Paper and Commingled recycling on alternating weeks.
- Please Note: Containers can be no larger than 32 gallons or weigh more than 50 lbs when filled.

Waste Industries’ trucks may arrive as early as 6:00 a.m. to pick up recycling. If recycling is not out at the curb by the time trucks arrive, it will not be collected.

What Can I Recycle?
- Paper pickup is one week
- Commingled pickup is the next
Paper and Commingled must be put out separately, and pickup weeks alternate throughout the year.
Note: TVs, Computers and other Electronics can not be put at the curb with regular recycling or with regular or bulk garbage.
They must be recycled at one of the periodic Electronics Recycling Events.
Plastic bags of any color are no longer accepted with commingled curbside recycling due to changes in the recycling industry.
Residents may put Recycling at the curb on the afternoon before the scheduled pickup:
- after 4:00 p.m. during Eastern Standard Time (November - March)
- after 6:00 p.m. during Eastern Daylight Savings Time (March - November)
Streets are broken into 5 Recycling Zones:
- Zone 1 - Monday
- Zone 2 - Tuesday
- Zone 3 - Wednesday
- Zone 4 - Thursday
- Zone 5 - Friday

When a holiday falls on your recycling day or earlier in the same week, your recycling will be picked up on the day after your regularly scheduled day. The following are Waste Industries' only scheduled holiday closings:
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- July 4th
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
