Inclement Weather Policy

If Livingston Public Schools (LPS) are closed, all SYLS programs using Board of Education (BOE) facilities are canceled. This may not apply to programs using other facilities. Messages will be posted on SYLS website, www.livingstonnj.org/syls.

  • For BOE early dismissals, all evening activities, including all open play programs, are canceled.
  • Updates will be posted on www.livingstonsyls.org through out the day should weather conditions improve or deteriorate.
  • Special events and/or school break programs will be handled on an as needed basis.  
  • When possible make up classes may be scheduled at a later date but not guaranteed. No credits/refunds will be given for weather related cancellations.
  • If Livingston Public Schools are closed or dismissed early, all SYLS programming in LPS are canceled.
