Lawn Health Tips
Water your lawn only in the early morning or later evening to avoid excessive evaporation, and water infrequently to let the grass develop a strong root system. Livingston’s water conservation ordinance (PDF) restricts lawn watering to 3 days per week, in the morning/evening depending on type of sprinkler.
Do not over-fertilize. Apply smaller quantities of fertilizer more frequently. Grasscycling makes lawns greener and healthier, decreases yard waste, reduces the need for fertilizers, and helps the environment.
