Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service - Donation Drive

Monday, January 18, 2021

The Livingston Committee for Diversity and Inclusion (LCDI) welcomes all to join in for the 2021 MLK Day of Service. The LCDI will be running a donation drive, coordinating donations for Livingston organizations, and hosting a virtual service.

The Livingston Committee for Diversity & Inclusion (LCDI) welcomes all to join in for the 2021 MLK Day of Service. While most years the Township of Livingston has hosted one of the largest and best in the State of New Jersey, this year, the program will function differently. The LCDI will be running a donation drive, coordinating donations for Sanskriti of NJ, The Livingston Public Schools HAS/PTA/PTO, the Kiwanis Club of Livingston, Livingston Neighbors Helping Neighbors, and The Livingston Chinese Association. Please find further information on what you can donate for each of these groups at https://fb.me/e/1PDES6efD. There will also be a virtual video service available to watch on Facebook.com/LCDINJ that day with some of our participating organizations.

The Donation Drive will take place at the back entrance of Livingston Town Hall located at 357 S Livingston Ave, Livingston, NJ. We ask all participants to arrive with donations between 2:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. on 1/18/2021 to celebrate the service of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. When preparing your donations, please have them bagged or boxed with the name of which organization you are donating to. Please arrive with the contents in your trunk, or if this is not possible in the back seat of your vehicle. Upon arriving, all donors will be asked to arrive while wearing a mask, and to remain in their vehicle while our volunteers retrieve your donation. Should you need any further assistance, our volunteers will be happy to assist. We hope to have many donations, so do your part to make this a Day On, Not a Day Off.
