The WCBS-FM 101.1 Street Team will be on the Oval from 10 am to 2 pm, playing music and giving away prizes.
Those of all ages will enjoy Pickleball, the Sanskriti of NJ Cricket game and Investors Bank-sponsored Cricket exhibition, rides, activities, the Livingston Police Department’s Child ID Program, Lions Club Vision Screenings, the Declaration of Independence Reading, Pony Rides sponsored by Regal Bank, Mini-Golf and Connect-Four games sponsored by Bernheim Apter/Quinn Hopping, Powerhouse Studios’ shows, and games sponsored by Prestige Volvo and Harte Orthodontics. Family Fun Continues: Late Afternoon & Evening Entertainment, 3 pm - 9 pm
Before you know it, more annual favorites begin: Entertainment on Wheels, sponsored by Livingston Bagel and ShopRite of Livingston, and the July 4th “Fantastic Family Food Fest” kick off at 3 pm., with tried-and-true specialties like Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Empanada Guy, Carmello’s Wood-Fired Brick Oven Pizza and Angelotti’s, plus soft drinks, ice cream, and other mouth-watering offerings.
The Bands, Beer & Wine Café, sponsored by CareOne, will open at 3 pm (wine and beer sales will start at 3:30 pm and last call will be at 7 pm). In order to purchase wine or beer, guests must be 21 years or older and must show a valid ID. Two wines and four premium beers will be available. With gourmet food trucks located near the Café on Livingston’s Memorial Oval, families can enjoy themselves indulging in music, specialty foods, and games.
The Café features family games – including a Corn Hull competition and Human Chess game – and a large enclosed area with tables and chairs to accommodate lots of guests and families. Three different bands will perform inside the Café area, providing additional entertainment for all: Black Dog & Butterfly (3:30 - 4:30 pm), PM Ryder (5 - 6 pm), and The Red Light Band (6:30-7:30 pm).
The on-site amusements adjacent to the Café area will be offering unlimited rides for a single-price wrist band during the hours of the Café (3 - 7 pm). The popular Entertainment on Wheels truck will once again offer “kids” of all ages the opportunity to score the highest points in a video game competition. This is a free event that also runs during the hours of the Café.
The Grand Finale: Main Stage Concert, 7:30 pm & Fireworks, 9:15 pm
At 7:30 pm, the enclosed Café area will be opened up. Guests may choose to stay in that area or move closer to the main stage, where Epic Soul (sponsored by RWJ/Barnabas Health) – will play this year, followed by our amazing fireworks show at 9:15 pm, produced by Garden State Fireworks and sponsored by Summit Medical Group.
Epic Soul returns to Livingston this year after playing at last year’s July 4th Bands, Beer & Wine Café.
