The Livingston Police Department graduated the first class from its Citizens Police Academy on Thursday, November 8, 2018.
This no-cost 10-week program was designed to give participants an understanding of the operation of the Livingston Police Department and a working knowledge of what law enforcement entails. Participants learned about many aspects of police work including dispatch, traffic enforcement, the Emergency Service Unit, the criminal justice system, firearms, crime scene investigation, and community policing.
LTV filmed portions of several sessions and a segment will air featuring some of the classes.
