The Livingston Dog Park officially opened on October 11, 2003. The Friends of Livingston Dog Parks have designed two fenced in areas where dogs can socialize and exercise off-leash, legally in a public park, under the supervision of an adult.
The Livingston Dog Park has two distinct play areas. A small dog park allows dogs 25 pounds or lighter to socialize without being overwhelmed by larger dogs. The large dog park is available for dogs of all sizes. Both areas offer shade and benches. The large dog park has a water fountain which operates during frost free days. In addition, another feature of East Hills Park includes a 1 1/2 mile long wooded nature trail with fitness stations. Dogs are permitted on the nature trails but must be kept on a leash.
To use the Livingston Dog Park, each dog is required to be registered and obtain a Livingston Dog Park Pass. The pass is valid until January 31. To complete the registration process, you are required to provide health and safety documentation of vaccinations for Rabies, Parvo and Distemper, complete and sign a two-sided application form, and pay a fee - all of which are outlined in the downloadable files below.
Volunteers are always needed to keep the park safe and beautiful. We are always looking for Dog Park Monitors as well as volunteers to work on our Communications, Maintenance, Beautification, Fundraising or Special Events subcommittees. If you are interested, or for more information, please email the Livingston Dog Park.
