Smart911 is a system that allow users to privately share information about their medical conditions, medications, or other important facts with first responders.
If a resident has provided key information within the Smart911 system and needs emergency medical care, first responders will already have that critical information. This will allow them to move more quickly in assessing and appropriately treating the individual.
The Smart911 Alert system is fully integrated, allowing for instant notifications of town emergencies through phone call, email and/or text message.
In addition, individuals can set up a Safety Profile which allows them to provide critical contact information in addition to information about medical conditions or medications. You can provide as much or as little information as you like in your Safety Profile, as this service is voluntary. The information you provide can be critical in cases of individual emergency, providing first responders with potentially lifesaving information in advance.
All information in the Smart911 system is provided by the individuals themselves, so you decide what information you want emergency responders to know about you when you call 9-1-1.
Emergency Alerts go out for various reasons:
Residents are urged to opt in for all three types of message delivery systems — phone calls, emails and text messages.
Note: The information within the RAVE Mobile Safety system is used only for the purpose of these types of notifications. It is not shared or sold or made available for use by outside individuals or entities.
Use the Township website to access the Smart911 Alert System. Sign up, or sign in, and create or update your Safety Profile.
Your Safety Profile is a set of information about an individual or household that is contained within one account on Smart911.com. You can include as much or as little information in your profile as you like.
Add emails, landlines and cell numbers, and opt in to receive emails and text messages.
Enroll each person in your family separately so that everyone receives important messages.
The Alert system uses a publicly available list of landline phone numbers for residents and businesses. However, many people now use cell phones instead.
Make sure you receive critical messages:
Smart911 allows youto confidentially provide information about family members' medical conditions, medications, or special situations through your Safety Profile. You decide how much or how little information to include in your profile and what information you want first responders to know about you when you call 9-1-1. When an emergency occurs and first responders are called, they save valuable time by already having the information you have provided through Smart911.
You can choose to unsubscribe or change your information at any time through your Smart911 account.
